The Illinois
School for the Visually Impaired is one of fifteen member schools in an
athletic conference known as the
North Central Association of Schools for
the Blind (NCASB). Besides competing in several sports with conference state
schools, ISVI also participates in several competitive sports with public
high schools in the Jacksonville area. In the fall, ISVI participates in
men and women’s track. Wrestling, cheerleading and goalball
are winter sports, while men's and women’s swimming and forensics (speech
competition) are available for ISVI students in the spring.
