WRESTLING & CHEERLEADING
SEASON 2011
-2012

Wrestling and Cheerleading Results from NCASB Championships at Arkansas January 20 -22, 2012

Greetings sports fans.

ISVI travelled to the home of President of Bill Clinton but did not have the time to tour his library. Other schools who arrived early said it and the high school were fantastic educational experiences.

Competition on Friday started with a yelling match among 9 schools (Wisconsin couldn’t not make it due to weather). The end result was hardware in the form of a fourth place trophy for TEAM ILLINOIS. It was the best cheer that they have performed all year. The peaked at the right time.

After the cheer competition, team Illinois wrestled well using newly learned moves but also lost some very closely contested matches including one overtime match. Team Illinois Wrestling finished 8th.

Next up: Swimming and Forensics.

December 9, 2011 --- Results from the home of the Missouri Mules

Cheerleaders packed the gym so full that TEAM ISVI had to present as two different squads. Not only did they perform once, they were called back for an encore performance. Great job Team Cheer!

Wrestling Results:

No team scores were kept but if so Illinois would have been 1st , Missouri, 2nd, and Wisconsin 3rd. It sounds like the wrestling version of the Al Eberhardt.

Team Illinois’ next competition will be Jan. 12, 2011 at Indiana.
