What a beautiful weekend in Tennessee. The weather was outstanding, the food was outstanding, socialization was outstanding, the competition was outstanding, and Nathan Lawson was voted the Outstanding Male Track Athlete which is outstanding!

Report on the 2010 Al Eberhardt Track Meet

The Al Eberhardt Track Meet was held at ISVI on September 22nd, 2010.

On behalf of the students and coaches, we would like to thank the ISVI campus staff and students for their help in the successful hosting of the Al Eberhardt track meet. On a Team Illinois individual basis, the tracksters established 1 new school record and  31 individual personal event records (prs) out of 46 attempts.

3rd girl: 10 pts., 1 out of 2 prs: 1st in the 60M and 400M

4th boy: 11 pts.m 4 out of 4 prs: new school record in the "B" standing triple jump (old record 22'5.5" new record 23'1.5") 1st in triple jump, 3rd in the shot put, 60M and 3-Con

5th boy: 5 pts., 2 out 4 prs: 1st in the 600M

6th boy: 2 pts., no prs: 4th in the shot put and long jump

7th boy: 0 pts., 4 out of 4 personal records

Team Illinois' next competition will be Oct.1-2, 2010 at ISBVI (Indiana) in the NCASB Conference Track Championships.

Greetings sports fans.  The track championships were conducted in 30 percent chance of rain even though it rained 100 percent of the time on Saturday.  Even in the cold and wet the ISVI still managed 13 new individual per record performances.  Their sportsmanship and willingness to help was great.
