Yesterday students arrived back on the campus of ISVI to register for a new school year. It was a busy day and one that had students catching up with their friends on their summer activities. It is always good to have students back after the summer break. We are all ready to get the 2009-10 school year off and running! We have had two teacher changes for the start of the new school year. Ms. Joni Frisch has moved from an elementary classroom to a position working with area birth-to-three year olds. This position became open due to the retirement of Ms. Joyce Schmidt. Ms. Pat Wright has moved from a reading teacher position to fill the spot left vacant when Ms. Frisch moved to her new position. We also begin the new school year with two substitute teachers as we continue the process of trying to fill two teaching positions that were vacant during the 2008-09 school year. Mr. Ron Whitacre will fill the math position as a substitute teacher and Ms. Jana Zulauf will fill the history position as a substitute teacher. Both of these people were long time teachers at ISVI before retiring a few years ago. We are looking forward to another great school year at ISVI! We continue to anticipate great things from our students and staff as we work together to meet the educational goals of those attending ISVI. As always, I thank you for your support of our students and programs at ISVI! |
