Students Attend Globetrotters Face-off Against The Washington Generals On Tuesday, January 13 students from both ISVI and ISD took a combined field trip into Springfield. Their destination? The Prairie Capital Convention Center. Their plan? To attend the Globetrotters’ game against the Washington Generals. The game began at 7 p.m. For those who do not know, a basketball game has four quarters, each twelve minutes long. After an intense forty-eight minutes including a dispute with a referee, the Globetrotters defeated the Washington Generals. Once it was made clear the students were visually impaired, they were given seats near the court. They were able to get autographs from several players. Students enjoyed hilarious antics by the Globetrotters’ clown,. |
