ISVI Advisory Council Information
The Advisory Council is a group of individuals that are either directly or indirectly associated with blind or visually impaired individuals which serves to advise the ISVI Superintendent, Administration, Staff and/or the Department of Rehabilitation Services concerning the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired and its facilities and services. The areas include, but are not limited to:
1. Eligibility
requirements and admission procedures for students;
2. Educational and vocational training programs, professional
staff and consultative services;
3. Residential care;
4. Communication with parents, families, staff and other
interested individuals;
5. Establish relationships with related agencies on a
statewide basis, especially those serving the
multiply handicapped, visually impaired;
6. Follow-up studies of former students;
7. Fiscal and budgetary issues;
8. Physical plant adequacy.
